well-planned contours making the ascent relatively easy. Enjoy up to 40km of manicured single track. The Simonsberg network offers
spectacular views, big climbs and fast descents.
Most of the network is graded blue (Intermediate) with some green
(Beginner) trails. The
Delheim Loop links to Muratie via the ‘Dozer’ switchback, and this takes you
onto the superb Ho Chi Minh section. Continue via ‘The Elevator’ and ‘Jackson’s
Jaunt’ onto ‘Gillooly’s’, a connecting point with a good site map to show you
exactly where you are.
The
‘Smuggler’s Traverse’ trips you up to one of the highlights of your Simonsberg
ride: get ready to pin back your ears as bomb into the ‘Uitkyk Bush Tunnel’,
arguably one of the most contested Strava segments in Cape mountain biking. At
‘Angus Junction’, loop right onto the ‘Uitkyk View Trail’ for breathtaking

includes some interesting features like wooden bridges crossing over streams,
berms, and wooden structures over and between rocks. Get ready for some short
but brutish climbs, hair-raising rocky downhills, sandy switchbacks and tree
roots in the forest. For fit riders we can add on an extention for a brutal

beyond. Watch out for the endemic Cape Rockjumper bird found only in the Cape
Fold Mountains.
